Bio

Joe Beelner was born and raised in Iowa City and has lived in Ankeny for over 20 years.  He married his best friend Shannon in 2002, who is Mental Health Counselor, and they have 4 children together.  Duncan, who attends Nebraska, Griffin, a senior in high school, Tenley, a freshmen, and Remy, in 4th grade.  He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1998 with a business degree and started selling insurance following graduation.  Recently, he was a partner at Agency 10 Insurance for over 7 years before buying his book of business and starting Beelner Insurance in May 2025.  With over 25 years of insurance experience he is well versed in business and personal insurance risk management.
