Furthering Research on the Relationship Between Beekeepers and Prairie Strips Through Survey Participation

The research focuses on the potential benefits and values of prairie strips.

Bio

I grew up in Minnesota and received a B.S. in Economics from the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota. After graduation, I worked for an economic development organization helping companies locate in the Twin Cities or helping local companies expand. During this time, I worked with many innovative agriculture companies that were attempting to mitigate the environmental impact of agriculture but coming up against systematic barriers. This inspired me to pursue a master's in Sustainable Agriculture focusing on economic incentives for sustainable practices. My research focuses on possible value-added benefits of the conservation practice of prairie strips, specifically pollination habitat for bees.
